Welcome to the next generation of pumpkin carving. When I was a kid, you would would carve a pumpkin for Halloween by giving it some triangles for eyes and a rough shape of a mouth. Next came intricate designs cut into the pumpkin. Now, the use of a dremel pumpkin carving kit has taken pumpkin carving to new levels.
The dremel is designed to etch designs into the pumpkin by removing layers of "skin" from the pumpkin. This not only allows the design to be etched into the pumpkin, but also allows various levels of light to shine through.
