I understand about why he put the coal of ember into the radish he carved. but are there older stories of Stiny Jack. Ones that dont include the devil? Or was this story created back when christianity became "The religion" in ireland and scotland? Or was there an older, pagan story? Other than that this helped my research for Halloween greatly.
